Nathalie Compagnone – Founder CEO and COO

As an engineer and Ph.D. graduate in Neurosciences, Dr. Compagnone cumuls 15 years experience as an academic research and 3 years in the pharamceutical industry. After graduating from the University of Franche-Comté, she spent 11 years in the USA, first as a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Synthia Mellon, a world leader in the field of neurostresoids, and since 1999 as the head of the laboratory for spinal cord development and regeneration in the Dept of Neurological Surgery at UCSF. In 2004 Dr. Compagnone joins TROPHOS, a french biotech company specialized in the development of CNS drugs, where she directs the Huntington’s Disease program and establishes the role of mitochondrial behavior disruption as a marker of the disease. Dr. Compagnone is specialized in cellular imaging and in the development of high content screening assays used in pre-clinical development of health products. She is a member of the society for neurosciences since 1990, an ad hoc reviewer for the NIH and a scientific expert for the New-York state Spinal Cord Injury Program. Dr. Compagnone is the principal actionnaire and cheif executive officer of ICDD.

Clotilde Biscarrat – Laboratory Manager

Ms Biscarrat is the laboratory manager of ICDD. She has joined ICDD in September 2007 after 7 years experience in mature biotech companies such as IMMUNOTECH, and TROPHOS where she meets Dr. Compagnone. She brings a technical expertise in cell biology and assay optimization and the experience of working in GLP conditions. She has worked in the production of diagnostic kits in Elisa and RIA, in a R&D dept of a drug discovery company working successively in Alzheimer, Huntington’s and Moto Neuron disease programs and in the pre-clinical setting of lead qualification both in the pharmacology and in the in vitro biology departments.

Sophie Salvat – Business developer

With a Ph.D. degree (University Aix-Marseille) in immunology and a healthcare Industry-focused business degree (Euromed-Marseille Business School), Dr Salvat has 12-years of R&D experience, including 6 years in the private sector. Dr Salvat specialized in lymphocyte T FACS analysis whilst working as a post doctoral fellow, in the laboratory of Dr Steimle, at the Max Plank Institute of Freiburg, Germany. Dr Salvat later worked as a quality control manager at GENOPOETICS, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of melanoma vaccines.
Today she leads ICDD’s business development activities.

Laetitia Curien – Accounting Manager
Together with ICDD’s certified accountant, Mrs Curien manages the accounts of ICDD, deals with suppliers and service providers, handles grant proposals, tracks the use of funds received from grants and reports to ICDD’s financial partners.
Mrs Curien has spent the last 7 years working in the finance departments of regional PME and not-for-profit organizations.
